The western world is awakening to the age-old wisdom of thousand-year-old treatments for everything from stubbed toes to indigestion and more. The cost of insurance and medical coverage and then seeing the doctor have all risen so much that it’s best to start with lower hanging fruit. Not to mention, many pharmaceuticals are costly and have a lot of side effects.
Plus, any at-home remedies reduce the embarrassment of people who may not even trust their doctor or their medical staff in knowing their very sensitive personal medical problems. For that reason, many guys are wondering if there is a gynecomastia treatment in Ayurveda.
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest traditions that has effective treatments for everything and anything having to do with the conditions of the body. Started in the Indus Valley thousands of years ago, it has kept Indians healthy and vibrant through the ages. So, it is no wonder that when guys need a non-invasive (and private) treatment for a rather sensitive problem — male breasts — they turn to Ayurveda first.
The reason that male breasts appear in an exaggerated manner is because of an underlying imbalance of hormones. Somewhere along the line, the testosterone and estrogen levels fell out of balance. Too much estrogen leads to male breasts. It can occur naturally or as a side effect from taking medication or certain medical conditions.
Guys may develop it in response to chemotherapy, tricyclic antidepressants, anti-anxiety medication, antibiotics, heart treatments, AIDS treatments, and heartburn treatments. Tea tree oil and lavender may result in this problem as well! Even drinking alcohol, using heroin, or pot can result in male breasts. Because it is a hormonal problem, if there is a tumor on the glands or hyperthyroidism present it can also result in male breasts.
The Western solution can involve attempts to regulate the hormones or even surgery. They are expensive and may impact a lot of systems of the body.
The Ayurvedic Solution
Put together 100 grams of the following herbs: yellow myrobalan, terminalia chebula, harad, haritaki, karakkaya, beleric or bastard myrobalan, terminalia bellirica, vibhitaka, aksha, thanikaya,
Indian gooseberry, phyllanthus emblica, amalika, amla, usirikaya.
Add in 100 grams of black pepper, 100 grams of dried ginger, 100 grams of rock salt, and 100 grams of long pepper (pippali) gets you started. Grind all of the herbs, mixing them well. It is recommended that you store the mixture in a glass bottle to protect it from heat and cold, along with moisture.
Ingest three small pinches of the powder in the morning and at night along with honey. Make a separate powder of the following, also to be stored in a glass jar. Take 100 grams of mustard oil and heat it along with 20 to 30 grams of raw camphor. Many people will add in 10 grams of black fine ground and long pepper. Two hours prior to bathing at night, heat the oil so it is lukewarm. Apply to your chest from the nipples all away around to your back.
Try this method before attempting anything else. If you see results, then you will have avoided the zap of time and financial resources the doctor visits can cause.
